70-180mm and 6T with Extension Tubes on Parade
Prepared 2006-11-07 (169/11468) by Bill Claff

Just to give newcomers an idea as to the magnifications involved.
The attached image is a mosaic of eight shots using the 70-180mm f/4.5-5.6D ED AF Zoom Micro-Nikkor and the Kenko Automatic Extension Tube Set DG.
Shot at 180mm and with a 6T close-up lens (which bring the lens to 1:1 without extension).
The target is a short metal ruler and an Intel Pentium keychain.
I was manually focusing on the ruler at closest focus with a macro rail.
Adjusted the images only to make contrast and brightness uniform.
Taken with a D200 at f/22 with ISO Auto on. And a tripod, of course.
